Born in 1971, the Ukrainian painter and graduate of the National Academy of Arts in Lviv works beyond the mainstream and expresses herself unflinchingly self-confident in her own and a brilliant picture language. Being outdoors, the artist observes landscape and nature, as well as the interplay of light and shadow, and lets these momentary, atmospheric impressions flow into her art. In her paintings one can see an intense delight in the painterly examination of emotion and color. The artworks of Olesya Bilobran are in Contemporary Art exhibitions of several Ukrainian museums and adorn numerous private art collections worldwide.
