The colorful and imaginative art of the Georgian painter and photographer (born 1979) has a high recognition value. The graduate of the Tbilisi State Academy of Art is known far beyond the borders of Georgia. His public murals in the Nadzaladevi metro station in Tbilisi, on the walls of the Betlemi weather station in the Kazbek Mountains and of the ski station at Gudauri resort are fascinating works of art. Observers of his paintings go on a journey of discovery, that is why the author rarely gives his works a name and leaves the imagination much room for interpretation. Gurgenidze combines a wide variety of materials and techniques, creating internationally sought-after, recognized unique pieces of art.
